See exactly how your SMS arrives
Send your real message to our Australian test number and we will show you what actually landed. The sender ID as the handset displays it, the message text, and how many parts it was charged as.
Why your sender ID might not be the one people see
Australia's SMS Sender ID Register is live. When a message arrives with an alphanumeric sender ID that has not been registered, carriers replace it. Your recipients see the word Unverified where your business name should be.
Nothing warns you. Your sending platform still reports the message as delivered, because it was delivered. The rewrite happens on the way to the handset, so the only way to know is to look at a real received message. That is all this tool does.
How it works
- Start a test below.
- Send your real message from your normal sending platform to 0420 137 100.
- We show you how it arrived, usually within a few seconds.
Free, no signup. Your result is only reachable from your own link and it stops working after two days. Any run of four or more digits in a received message is masked before it is displayed, so a one-time code sent to this number can never be read off the screen.
Two ways to tell us which message is yours
Messages from every carrier land on the same test number, so we need to know which one is yours before we show it to you. Pick whichever suits.
- Paste your message Paste the exact text you are about to send and we match on the wording. Nothing is added to your message, so what you test is exactly what your customers get. Works when your message is distinctive, which real campaign copy almost always is.
- Use a code We give you a short code like #MM-K7QF to include anywhere in your message. Exact and instant, and it works for short or generic messages. Worth knowing that adding characters can push a long message into an extra part, which your platform may charge for.
